James Emerson has been an active performer in the local music scene for a number of years and has studied under some of Australia’s most prolific guitarists including Mark Johns and Jeremy Sawkins. His sound is a rich blend of musical styles showcasing swinging walking bass lines, chordal improvisations and soulful melodies.
Tom Wood has been active in the Sydney jazz scene, playing with various groups including the Djangologists. Notable performance highlights include playing at the Manly Jazz Festival and a sold out show at the Paris Cat in Melbourne. He has had the privilege of being a guest musician on P&O cruise ships, performing as a four piece rock outfit and jazz trio. Tom has performed in the musicals Keating and Faces at the Factory Theatre, Sydney. He has recorded guitar for various Australian TV shows such as Pulse (ABCTV), as well as an award winning short film titled Veov Drive. Together, the Guitar Duo demonstrate a wide range of repertoire in their fusion of pop, Jazz and blues music, setting the scene for a captivating performance – you don’t want to miss this!”
