Hotel check-in is 2:00 pm and check-out by 10:00am. Early check-in or late check-out is available on request; however, we are unable to guarantee availability.

Please note, additional conditions apply to group bookings and special packages.

Upon check-in, our Front Desk can store luggage until your room is ready. When you collect your room key, you will be required to collect any stored luggage. Whilst we endeavour to assist with luggage storage on check-out, due to the limited availability of space, we are regrettably unable to guarantee availability.

We understand how important personal belongings are and will do everything possible to reunite you with any lost or forgotten items. Please call our Front Desk for assistance. Whilst we are unable to guarantee item(s) will be located, any items found in guestrooms after check-out are held at Reception.

The Carrington Hotel’s unique character means no two rooms are alike ­– even within the same room categories.

We offer several room categories to choose from including Colonial and Premier Rooms, and for more indulgent space select from the Junior or Signature Suites. For further detail visit the Accommodation page.

The Carrington Hotel offers three Colonial Family Rooms on hotel’s first floor, accommodating 2 adults and up to 2 children. We offer one Family Room that accommodates 2 adults and 3 children. Due to the limited availability of these rooms, they are not available for booking online and must be booked directly with the hotel. Interconnecting rooms are available on request subject to availability.

Additional guest charges will apply subject to the room type booked, with extra bedding already available in select rooms. Please contact our Front Desk to discuss your requirements.

Standard-sized cots with linen are available on request. The hire fee is $10 per night. Please advise us at the time of booking if a cot is required. 

The Carrington Hotel has one accessible room located on the first floor. To best plan your visit, see our Accessibility page and discuss your requirements with Reception.

A minimum two night stay is required during school holidays, public holiday weekends, and for select special event packages (such as Yulefest occurring over the Friday or Saturday nights).

In-house guests enjoy exclusive use of the Billiards Room equipped with two billiards tables, board games and library. Lounge-style seating accommodates larger groups and families traveling together.

Guests staying on the Colonial Floor of the Hotel have access to the lounge located on this level.

In-house guests may also use the Chifley or Sir Henry Parkes rooms subject to availability (please note any existing event bookings in these rooms take precedence).

Visitors to the Hotel whom are not overnight guests can enjoy public access to the Cocktail Bar, Lounge and Dining spaces.

Located within the Carrington Hotel are Serenita Hair and Beauty, and Lumiere Natural Therapies. Both operate independently of the Carrington Hotel; bookings are required for all treatments and must be made directly.

All room bookings include a continental breakfast comprising fresh bread and pastries, condiments, cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt. Hot beverages include tea, filtered coffee and juices.

Guests are welcome to order barista coffee and additional hot food from the a-la-carte breakfast menu.

The Old City Bank Bar & Brasserie serves a casual, pub-style menu. Dinner bookings recommended.

Champagne Charlies Cocktail Bar offers an extensive cocktail menu, hot beverages and light meals. An evening menu is available Wednesday to Saturday with light snacks and share plates.

The Grand Dining Room offers an a-la-carte, fine dining menu in an elegant heritage setting. Bookings recommended.

Carrington Cellars is a boutique liquor merchant and providore stocking an array of local, regional and imported wine, beer, spirits and gourmet food items.

Stock up on our very own Katoomba Brewing Co. beers or enjoy an espresso coffee while you browse. Guests can pick up supplies for their stay or request a picnic hamper.

The Carrington Hotel is located in the heart of Katoomba, within the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park.
