Accommodation

The following Terms & Conditions apply to your stay at the Carrington Hotel. For all Carrington Event bookings please refer to the Event Terms & Conditions tab.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Check-In: from 2:00pm
Check-Out: prior to 10:00am

Whilst we are unable to guarantee, early check-in or late check-out may be available on request, additional rates may apply. Reception is attended 24 hours however please advise us if you expect to arrive after 6:00pm.

GUARANTEE POLICY

A valid credit card is required to secure your booking and upon check-in at the hotel. On arrival, if you are unable to provide a valid credit card, you will be required to pay your accommodation in full plus $100 which will be held as security for additional charges you may incur during your stay. If no additional charges apply, the security deposit or part thereof will be released at the end of your stay.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The Carrington Hotel requires a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for all date changes and cancellations.

  • For date change requests within 48 hours please contact reception, fees may apply.
  • For cancellations, within 48 hours, one night’s accommodation will be charged to the credit card on file.
  • For no-show bookings, your room will be held until the following day to allow for unforeseen delays and inability to contact us. Should you fail to arrive, your reservation will be cancelled, and the total accommodation booking will be charged to your credit card.
  • After check-in should you wish to shorten your stay, the total accommodation amount may be charged. Please contact our reception staff.

MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENTS

At certain times and particularly in high-demand periods, such as school holidays, public holidays or special events, minimum stays may apply. You will be advised of any minimum stay requirements at the time of booking.

ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS

Payment may be made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Cash. Please be advised that a fee 3.0% for American Express applies.

LOCAL TAXES

All guest expenses are subject to a Goods & Services Tax of 10% which is included in all prices quoted to you. 

SMOKING

The Carrington Hotel is a smoke-free environment. We do not permit smoking in any of our guest rooms or public spaces. It is against the law in NSW to smoke in enclosed public spaces or in any location where food is served. Guests found to be smoking within their rooms will incur a cleaning fee of one night’s accommodation charged to their account.

ADDITIONAL GUESTS

Unless specified, all accommodation rates and package rates are quoted based on double occupancy. Please contact our Reception for additional guest rates.

CHILD POLICY

The fee for Children 12 years and is $30 per child per night using existing bedding within the maximum number of allowed guests per room. Children 13 – 18 years are charged at the full additional adult rate applicable to the room category selected. If a roll-away bed is required additional charges may apply. Baby cots are $10 per cot per night and can be provided on request.

INTERNET ACCESS

For the convenience of our guests, internet access is provided complimentary. Details of the wi-fi access and password are available within your room.

PETS

Pets and companion animals are not permitted within the Carrington Hotel. Service animals with a valid accreditation certificate are accepted. Dogs on leashes are allowed on the Piazza grassed areas only. Owners are responsible for their pets and may be asked to return at another time if the dog impacts the enjoyment of other guests. 

RATES

Rates are subject to change. In the event of a price increase, confirmed bookings will not incur additional charges however any quoted rates are subject to change at the time of booking.

Events

The following Terms & Conditions apply to private events at the Carrington Hotel. For Carrington accommodation bookings please refer to our Accommodation Terms & Conditions tab.

CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING*:

All confirmation documentation must be signed and returned together with the requested deposit within 7 days of making a reservation. An estimated number of attendees will be required at the time the reservation is made. Should guest numbers drop by 20% or more below the estimated number, Management reserves the right to relocate your function space for a smaller venue or apply additional charges.

*Applies to induvial/private event bookings. For all special interest and inbound group bookings please contact your event coordinator.

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENTS:

A non-refundable deposit will be required at the time of reservation to secure your booking. Final numbers and the final balance for all fixed charges will be required 14 days prior to the event. Any ancillary charges must be paid at the conclusion of the event.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

All cancellations must be confirmed to The Carrington in writing:

a). Within 90-60 days of the confirmed event date a fee of 50% of the contracted amount will be charged to the organiser.

b). Within 59-30 days of the confirmed event date a fee of 75% of the contracted amount will be charged to the organiser.

c). Less than 30 days of the confirmed function loss of the deposit and 100% of the contracted amount will be charged to the organiser.

The contracted amount will be based on the agreed minimum numbers and includes all package fees, room hire rate, audio-visual, beverage package, theming, entertainment, or other inclusions offered by The Carrington.

FINAL DETAILS:

Final numbers of catered guests must be advised 14 days prior to the confirmed event date.

CARRINGTON HOTEL EVENT ACCOMMODATION BOOKINGS

Check-in is 2pm and check out is 10am. Rooms are single, twin or double accommodation rooms and include a continental breakfast for two people. Estimated guest numbers will be required at the time of booking to allow for rooms to be held. Please note that accommodation not been assigned to a guest’s name will be released six (6) weeks prior to the event. Six (6) weeks prior to your event, cancellation of accommodation rooms will only be accepted up to 7 days prior to the event and up to a maximum of one room.

ROOM ALLOCATION AND OTHER FUNCTIONS:

The organiser agrees to begin the function and vacate the designated function space at the scheduled times agreed upon. If a function should go beyond the agreed finishing time, The Carrington reserves the right to impose an additional fee charged for each hour or part hour that the function space is occupied.

The Carrington reserves the right to book other functions in the same room up to one hour before the scheduled time and one hour after the scheduled finishing time. 

DELIVERY AND COLLECTION OF GOODS:

All deliveries to The Carrington must be advised to your event coordinator prior to delivery. The Carrington will only accept delivery of items three (3) working days prior to an event between the hours of 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday (with the exception of public holidays) unless alternative delivery arrangements have been agreed to.

The Carrington is unable to store items for extended periods leading up to your event. Whilst all due care will be taken, The Carrington will not be responsible for any damages or loss sustained to any items.

Items must be collected within two working days of the event’s conclusion. Items remaining after this time without prior written arrangements will be deemed abandoned.

RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL:

The Carrington adheres to the laws regarding responsible service of alcohol. Alcoholic beverage service will be denied to any person deemed to be underage or showing signs of intoxication. Due to licencing restrictions, no alcohol may be brought to any events at The Carrington. Guests displaying disorderly behaviour will be asked to leave.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE:

All menus are subject to seasonal variations without notice.

In accordance with food safety, handling and hygiene policies, The Carrington does not permit any persons to bring off-site catering or their own food and beverages to their event.

Beverages served as part of a function are only available to guests within the function venue.

Function package beverages will not be served to guests at the Cocktail Bar.

In line with responsible service of alcohol, staff will only serve one glass of any standard beverage per person at any one time.

Any beverage served to guests at the Cocktail Bar will be charged at individual cost.

ALLERGIES AND DIETARY REQUIREMENTS:

Notification of all dietary requirements and /or allergies must be advised to us in writing seven (7) days prior to the event. The Carrington will make every effort to accommodate guests with food allergies, however, please note that flour, nuts, dairy, fructose, onion, garlic and other similar cooking ingredients are routinely used in our kitchen. As a result, we are unable to guarantee any trace of these routine ingredients. Vegetarian dishes and those that can be modified to be gluten-free, and vegan are noted on our menus. 

CHILDREN:

The Carrington is a licensed venue, and it is a legal requirement that anyone under the age of 18 years be always accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. In accordance with the Liquor licensing regulations, anyone under the age of 18 years is not permitted in the cocktail bar area.

The Carrington is a heritage property. A responsible adults must always supervise children. Parents / Guardians will be held responsible for damages incurred by unsupervised children.

SUPPLIERS

A service meal (one course can) be provided to the photographer and/or entertainer that are booked for three or more hours. A fee of $25.00 per meal applies. The meal provided will be different to that selected for guests and will be served in the ‘green room’ or another location if a ‘green room’ has not been reserved. 

EVENTS CONTINUING AFTER 10:30PM

For the comfort and convenience of all guests, The Carrington enforces a Noise Policy. Should you request to have your event with music, speeches and entertainment that continues beyond 10:30pm, you will be required to book and pay for the accommodation rooms directly above the venue as follows: 

Grand Dining Room – organisers will be required to reserve the 10 traditional rooms located above the venue.

Ballroom  – organisers will be required to reserve the Joynton Smith Suite and 2 Premier Balcony Rooms located above the venue.

You may wish to offer these accommodation rooms to your guests with the accommodation fee payable directly. Alternatively, the fee will be considered a hire fee as the rooms are not able to be sold to other guest.

Please note: All music and /or event noise must cease by 12am.

PRICES:

Every endeavour is made to maintain prices as originally quoted however, these may be subject to change due to government charges, taxes, levies, third-party supplier price variances and other service charges.

LOSS OR DAMAGES:

Clients are financially responsible for any loss or damages to the hotel caused by any of their guests or any other person attending the event.

SMOKING:

The Carrington is a smoke-free environment. It is against the law in NSW to smoke in enclosed public spaces or in any location where food is served.

LAWS AND REGULATIONS:

At no time will the organiser commit any act or permit their guests, employees, or contractors/suppliers to commit any act that is illegal, offensive or in breach of any laws, orders or other provisions having the force of the law including, but not limited to The Carrington’s Liquor License, Fire Regulations and Occupational Health and Safety.

PUBLIC LIABILITY:

All entertainment booked by the organiser must supply a valid certificate of currency to your event coordinator prior to the event.

CONFIDENTIALITY:

The Carrington agrees not to disclose confidential information other than what may be required by law.
