Inspired by the traditional Bavarian festival and our love of great beer, Oktoberfest at The Carrington is one of the Blue Mountains’ most anticipated annual celebrations.
Join us on Saturday, 24 October 2026 from 11am to 8pm for a fabulous day of live music, dancing, food, beer and plenty of Oktoberfest fun. Whether you’re a regular Oktoberfest reveller or experiencing it for the first time, gather your friends and family and come celebrate with us!
Our historic hotel will come alive with:
Live music all day from an exciting lineup of local bands and performers
Blue Mountains City Band opening the celebrations at 11am
Gravity Belt and 3-PM Pick Up
Julie Accordion & The Oompahs bringing Oktoberfest tunes from 2pm–5pm
BonnieDoon followed by CK & The 45s rocking us into the evening
German beers alongside our very own Katoomba Brewing Co. Bavarian Lager, brewed specially for Oktoberfest
German-inspired food including bratwurst, pretzels, schnitzels and more
Food trucks serving up even more festival favourites, including Chip on a Stick, FLAMZ with authentic Flammekueche, and Volkswurst serving German street food
The Lolly Bug – Little Hartley, bringing plenty of sweet treats for the young — and young at heart!
Souvenir steins to take home
Dancing, family-friendly fun and plenty of Oktoberfest atmosphere
And the best part? Admission is FREE!
So, dust off your lederhosen and dirndls, gather your friends and family, and come celebrate Oktoberfest in true Bavarian style under the mountains’ sky.
Why not turn the celebration into a mini escape? The Blue Mountains are stunning in spring, making Oktoberfest the perfect excuse for a weekend away.
Stay with us at The Carrington Hotel and enjoy everything Katoomba and the surrounding Blue Mountains have to offer. Accommodation is available throughout the Oktoberfest weekend – but be quick, rooms sell out fast every year.
