The trio is led by singer/songwriter, recording artist, and slide guitarist, Dan Johnson. An integral part of the Sydney pub and folk scene, Dan opened for many international acts including Ry Cooder, David Lindley, Ike and Tina Turner, and many more.
His former group, The Dan Johnson Band, was the backing band for maestro English guitarist Albert Lee on two Australian tours. The first tour included Tommy Emmanuel, with whom Dan had worked as a solo player.
DAN’S DINER is a trio comprising Dan on acoustic guitar, Phil Johnson on bass, and Dave Alexander on snare, hi hat and kick pedal. They started out playing blues, rock and roll, and gospel of the 50’s and early 60’s with songs from artists like Little Walter, Big Joe Turner, and early Elvis. Dan added original songs for their album/CD ‘Dan’s Diner’, and is still writing.
DAN’S DINER is small enough to fit on a Persian rug, but dynamic in sound
