The Carrington with its iconic chimney is located at the highest point of Katoomba, Blue Mountains – a UNESCO World Heritage area on Ngurra (Country) of the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples.

Within the Hotel’s heritage-listed walls, visitors and hotel guests are welcome to enjoy Champagne Charlie’s Cocktail Bar; an elegant meal in the Grand Dining Room; or a barista coffee & cake in The Lounge.

Immediately behind the Hotel, the sensitive adaptive re-use of the old Katoomba Power Station now houses the Carrington Cellars & Deli and Katoomba Brewing Co.

Wander across the piazza and Sorensen-design grounds to The Old City Bank & Brasserie, offering a traditional pub atmosphere with beer garden, and casual dining upstairs. Finish the night by catching some live music or cabaret in The Baroque Room.

And should you ever need to leave, chat with our Reception staff to plan a local itinerary – perhaps drop by our neighbours at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre , or jump on the shuttle to Scenic World and descend into ancient rainforest on the world’s steepest train.

For those seeking something a little more challenging, the Blue Mountains Adventure Company have a number of exciting day trips on offer from canyoning and abseiling to climbing and more.

Surrounded by Katoomba’s eateries and retail, the precinct provides a convenient base from which to explore the surrounding Blue Mountains villages of Wentworth Falls, Leura & Blackheath; the Blue Mountains National Park; and UNESCO World Heritage-listed area beyond.
